Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and passionate Director of Pediatric Occupational Therapy to lead our innovative team dedicated to enhancing the lives of children through personalized therapy solutions. In this pivotal role, you will drive the vision and execution of our pediatric occupational therapy program, ensuring our services meet the highest standards of care while fostering an environment of collaboration and continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement strategic initiatives for pediatric occupational therapy services, aligning with the organization's mission and goals.
- Lead, mentor, and support a team of occupational therapists, providing guidance on clinical practices, professional development, and performance management.
- Enhance service delivery by establishing evidence-based practices and ensuring compliance with regulatory standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams, including physicians, psychologists, and educators, to design comprehensive treatment plans tailored to each child's unique needs.
- Oversee program evaluation and quality improvement efforts, utilizing data to drive decision-making and enhance outcomes.
- Engage with families and caregivers to foster supportive relationships and facilitate their involvement in the therapy process.
- Develop and manage the program budget, ensuring efficient allocation of resources while maximizing service delivery.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's or Doctoral degree in Occupational Therapy or related field.
- Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist.
- 5+ years of clinical experience in pediatric occupational therapy, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Strong understanding of pediatric developmental milestones and therapeutic interventions.
Preferred:
- Experience in developing and implementing pediatric therapy programs.
- Board certification in Pediatric Occupational Therapy.
- Demonstrated ability to lead and inspire a diverse team of professionals.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with an ability to build strong relationships with stakeholders.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in electronic health records (EHR) systems and telehealth platforms.
- Familiarity with outcome measurement tools specific to pediatric occupational therapy.
- Ability to leverage technology for therapy delivery and program management.
