Role Overview
We are seeking a highly accomplished Chief of Pediatric Cardiology to lead our pediatric cardiology department and drive innovative clinical practices. In this executive role, you will be pivotal in shaping the strategic vision and direction for pediatric cardiovascular care, enhancing patient outcomes, and fostering a culture of excellence among our healthcare teams.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and strategic oversight to the pediatric cardiology department, ensuring alignment with the overall mission and goals of the organization
- Develop and implement evidence-based protocols and clinical pathways to optimize patient care and improve quality metrics
- Foster a collaborative environment that promotes multidisciplinary teamwork and communication among cardiology staff, pediatricians, and other specialists
- Lead research initiatives and clinical trials focused on advancing pediatric cardiovascular treatments and interventions
- Engage in community outreach and education to raise awareness about pediatric heart health and the services offered
- Mentor and support the professional development of cardiology staff, including attending physicians, fellows, and nurses
- Participate in the recruitment and retention of high-caliber talent within the pediatric cardiology team
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Board certification in Pediatric Cardiology
- A minimum of 10 years of clinical experience in pediatric cardiology, with a demonstrated record of leadership
- Proven track record of clinical excellence and commitment to advancing pediatric healthcare
- Strong background in academic medicine and research, with publications in peer-reviewed journals
Preferred:
- Experience in managing a pediatric cardiology department and working within a large healthcare system
- Expertise in advanced imaging techniques and minimally invasive interventions
- Active involvement in professional organizations and committees related to pediatric cardiology
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Extensive knowledge of pediatric cardiovascular diseases and treatment modalities
- Experience with electronic medical records (EMR) systems and data analytics tools to enhance clinical decision-making
- Familiarity with telemedicine platforms to improve patient access and care delivery
