Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and knowledgeable Parent Educator to join our dedicated team focused on empowering families through education and support. In this fully remote role, you'll work closely with parents and caregivers to provide guidance, resources, and strategies that promote effective parenting practices and foster child development.
Responsibilities
- Conduct engaging and informative workshops and webinars tailored to the needs of parents and caregivers.
- Provide one-on-one consultations to help families navigate challenges and develop personalized parenting plans.
- Create and distribute educational materials, including newsletters, handouts, and online resources, to support families in implementing learned concepts.
- Collaborate with community organizations to promote parenting programs and resources.
- Assess the needs of families and adapt educational content accordingly to ensure relevance and effectiveness.
- Stay updated on the latest research and trends in child development and parenting to enhance educational offerings.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Social Work, Education, Child Development, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience working with parents and families in educational or support settings.
- Strong understanding of child development principles and effective parenting strategies.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse audiences.
Preferred:
- Master's degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in program development and evaluation.
- Familiarity with online educational platforms and tools.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using virtual communication tools (e.g., Zoom, Microsoft Teams) and educational software.
- Experience with digital content creation and management.
- Ability to analyze data to assess program effectiveness and improve offerings.
