Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced Network Support Manager to join our team, responsible for overseeing and enhancing the performance of our network operations. In this role, you will lead a team of network support engineers, ensuring seamless connectivity and optimal performance across our infrastructure. Your expertise will be crucial in identifying and resolving complex network issues while fostering a culture of continuous improvement and innovation.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of network support engineers, providing guidance on best practices in network management and troubleshooting
- Oversee the design, implementation, and maintenance of network infrastructure, ensuring high availability and performance
- Develop and execute network monitoring strategies, utilizing tools like SNMP, NetFlow, and Wireshark to identify and resolve issues proactively
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure network alignment with business objectives and support for various applications
- Establish and maintain documentation for network configurations, procedures, and policies
- Manage vendor relationships and coordinate with service providers to ensure optimal service delivery
- Drive network performance improvements through data analysis and strategic planning
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in network support or management roles, with a proven track record of success in complex network environments
- Deep understanding of network protocols, including TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF, and MPLS
- Experience with network security best practices and tools, including firewalls, IDS/IPS, and VPNs
- Proficient in the use of network monitoring and management tools
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot complex network issues
Preferred:
- Experience with cloud networking technologies, such as AWS VPC or Azure Networking
- Industry certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent
- Experience in a leadership role, demonstrating effective team management and development
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in routing and switching technologies
- Experience with network performance optimization techniques
- Familiarity with network automation tools and scripting languages (e.g., Python, Ansible)
