Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Network Support Manager to lead our network operations team in ensuring optimal performance and reliability of our networking infrastructure. In this critical role, you will oversee the management of network support services, proactively address issues, and implement strategies that enhance network efficiency and security. You will play a vital role in driving operational excellence while fostering a culture of continuous improvement within the team.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of network support engineers, providing guidance and mentorship to promote professional growth
- Develop and implement network support strategies that align with organizational goals and industry best practices
- Monitor network performance and reliability, identifying and resolving complex technical issues to minimize downtime
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize network architecture and enhance service delivery
- Establish and maintain documentation for network processes, including incident management and troubleshooting procedures
- Conduct regular training sessions for team members to ensure proficiency in the latest networking technologies and practices
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in network support or administration, with a proven track record in a managerial capacity
- Strong understanding of networking protocols, technologies, and infrastructure, including TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, and VPNs
- Experience with network monitoring tools and troubleshooting methodologies
- Exceptional problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure
Preferred:
- Relevant certifications such as CCNP, CCIE, or equivalent
- Experience with cloud networking solutions (AWS, Azure, etc.)
- Demonstrated ability to manage projects and collaborate effectively with diverse teams
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in network design and architecture principles
- Experience with firewall management, intrusion detection systems, and network security practices
- Familiarity with automation tools and scripting languages for network management
