Role Overview
We are seeking a motivated Junior Network Support Coordinator to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a crucial part in ensuring the seamless operation of our network systems and providing support to our users. You will have the opportunity to learn from experienced network professionals and contribute to the maintenance and enhancement of our network infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Assist in monitoring network performance, identifying issues, and implementing solutions to maintain optimal network functionality
- Provide first-level technical support to users experiencing network-related problems, ensuring prompt resolution
- Document network incidents and maintain accurate records of support requests and resolutions
- Participate in the installation and configuration of network hardware and software
- Collaborate with senior network engineers to implement network upgrades and enhancements
- Contribute to the development of network documentation and procedures for best practices
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Basic understanding of networking concepts, protocols, and technologies (e.g., TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP)
- Familiarity with network troubleshooting tools and techniques
- Strong communication skills and a customer-service-oriented mindset
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a remote environment
Preferred:
- Experience with network monitoring tools (e.g., Wireshark, SolarWinds)
- Some familiarity with network hardware (e.g., routers, switches)
- Relevant certifications (e.g., CompTIA Network+, Cisco CCNA) are a plus
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Understanding of network architecture and design principles
- Basic knowledge of firewall and VPN technologies
- Proficiency in using Microsoft Office Suite and other relevant software tools
