Role Overview
We are seeking a visionary Executive Music Video Director to lead our creative team in producing groundbreaking music videos that elevate our artists and resonate with audiences worldwide. Responsibilities
- Conceptualize, direct, and produce high-quality music videos from initial idea development through to final execution
- Collaborate closely with artists, producers, and a diverse creative team to translate artistic vision into compelling visual storytelling
- Oversee all aspects of production, including budgeting, scheduling, casting, and post-production processes
- Continuously innovate and adapt to current trends in music and visual media, ensuring our projects remain relevant and engaging
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with key industry stakeholders, including record labels, talent agencies, and production companies
- Lead creative brainstorming sessions and provide mentorship to junior directors and crew members
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 7+ years of experience in music video direction or a related field, with a robust portfolio showcasing diverse projects
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while adhering to tight deadlines
- Strong understanding of visual aesthetics, cinematography, and storytelling techniques
- Excellent communication skills, with the ability to articulate creative concepts clearly and inspire the team
Preferred:
- Experience working with high-profile artists and within fast-paced production environments
- Proficiency in industry-standard video editing software and tools
- Established network within the music and entertainment industry
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep understanding of video production techniques, including lighting, camera operation, and post-production workflows
- Experience with advanced editing software such as Adobe Premiere Pro, Final Cut Pro, or Avid Media Composer
- Familiarity with motion graphics and animation techniques is a plus
