We are seeking a highly skilled Master Metal Gauge Maker to join our innovative team. Responsibilities
- Design and fabricate precision metal gauges using advanced CNC machining techniques and manual processes.
- Analyze engineering drawings and specifications to determine gauge requirements and tolerances.
- Conduct thorough inspections and tests on gauges to ensure adherence to quality standards.
- Collaborate with engineers and production teams to troubleshoot and optimize gauge performance.
- Develop and implement best practices for gauge calibration, maintenance, and repair.
- Train and mentor junior machinists and gauge makers, fostering a culture of craftsmanship and continuous improvement.
Required Qualifications
- 5+ years of experience in precision machining, specifically in the fabrication of metal gauges or similar tooling.
- Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and specifications.
- Deep understanding of machining processes, materials, and tooling.
- Experience with CNC programming and setup, as well as manual machining techniques.
- Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with quality assurance processes and standards (e.g., ISO, AS9100).
- Familiarity with CAD/CAM software for gauge design.
- Knowledge of advanced materials and coatings used in gauge production.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in CNC machining and programming, particularly in metalworking.
- Proficiency in using precision measuring instruments (e.g., micrometers, calipers, gauges).
