Role Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Mental Health Associate to join our team, where you will play a vital role in supporting individuals facing mental health challenges. As a Mental Health Associate, you will collaborate with mental health professionals to provide essential services that promote recovery, enhance well-being, and foster a supportive environment for our clients.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the implementation of individualized treatment plans under the supervision of licensed mental health professionals
- Conduct regular assessments of client needs, progress, and behavioral changes to inform treatment strategies
- Provide crisis intervention and support to clients experiencing acute distress
- Facilitate and lead therapeutic group activities, promoting social skills and emotional regulation
- Document client interactions and progress in compliance with confidentiality and ethical standards
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive care and effective communication regarding client needs
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in psychology, social work, or a related field
- Experience working with individuals with mental health disorders or in a similar support role
- Strong understanding of mental health principles and crisis intervention techniques
Preferred:
- Experience in a clinical setting or familiarity with therapeutic modalities
- Certification in Mental Health First Aid or equivalent
- Fluency in a second language is a plus
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in electronic health record (EHR) systems for documentation and reporting
- Familiarity with telehealth platforms and virtual communication tools
- Basic knowledge of data privacy laws and ethical guidelines in mental health
