Role Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and experienced Director of the Medical Assisting Program to lead our innovative educational initiatives. In this fully remote role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and overseeing a comprehensive curriculum that meets industry standards and prepares students for successful careers in medical assisting. Your leadership will be pivotal in shaping the future of healthcare education.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a cutting-edge Medical Assisting curriculum that aligns with accreditation standards and industry requirements
- Lead the faculty in delivering high-quality educational experiences, ensuring a focus on student engagement and success
- Develop strategic partnerships with healthcare organizations to enhance program visibility and job placement opportunities for graduates
- Monitor and assess program effectiveness through data-driven evaluations and continuous improvement initiatives
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory requirements related to medical assisting education
- Foster an inclusive and supportive academic environment that encourages collaboration and diversity
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g., Healthcare Education, Public Health, or Medical Assisting)
- 5+ years of experience in healthcare education, with a focus on medical assisting or related programs
- Demonstrated leadership experience in an academic setting, including curriculum development and program management
- Strong understanding of accreditation processes and regulatory compliance in healthcare education
Preferred:
- Doctorate degree in a relevant field
- Experience with online education platforms and remote teaching methodologies
- Active involvement in relevant professional associations or committees
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using Learning Management Systems (LMS) for course delivery and student assessment
- Familiarity with healthcare simulation technologies and instructional design principles
- Ability to analyze educational data to inform decision-making and program enhancements
