Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Lead Mechanics Handyman to join our dynamic team. In this pivotal role, you will leverage your extensive mechanical knowledge and hands-on experience to oversee a variety of maintenance and repair tasks, ensuring operational efficiency and safety across our facilities. This position allows for fully remote work, enabling you to manage projects and coordinate with team members from anywhere.
Responsibilities
- Lead and coordinate maintenance and repair projects, ensuring compliance with safety regulations and best practices.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to identify and address potential issues before they escalate.
- Oversee the work of junior handymen and maintenance staff, providing mentorship and training as needed.
- Develop and maintain a detailed schedule for regular maintenance tasks and emergency repairs.
- Collaborate with various teams to ensure timely completion of projects and address any challenges that arise.
- Maintain an organized inventory of tools, parts, and equipment, ensuring they are in good working condition.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in mechanical repair and maintenance, with a focus on diverse systems and equipment.
- Proven track record of leading maintenance teams and managing complex projects.
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, and HVAC systems.
- Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues efficiently.
Preferred:
- Experience with facility management software and maintenance tracking systems.
- Certifications in electrical, plumbing, or HVAC systems.
- Prior experience in a leadership role within a maintenance or facilities management setting.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep understanding of mechanical systems, including gears, pumps, and motors.
- Proficiency in using tools and equipment related to mechanical repair and maintenance.
- Experience with safety protocols and regulations in mechanical settings.
