Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and innovative Director of Maxillofacial Prosthodontics to lead our specialized team in providing exceptional prosthodontic care to patients with complex facial and dental conditions. In this pivotal leadership role, you will be responsible for the development and implementation of advanced prosthodontic techniques, fostering a culture of excellence, and pushing the boundaries of prosthodontic care through cutting-edge research and collaboration with multidisciplinary teams.
Responsibilities
- Lead the strategic direction of the maxillofacial prosthodontics department, ensuring alignment with organizational goals and patient care excellence.
- Oversee the clinical operations, including the development and refinement of protocols for maxillofacial prosthetic treatment, ensuring the highest standards of patient safety and quality.
- Drive innovation in prosthodontic techniques and materials, collaborating with research teams to translate findings into clinical practice.
- Provide mentorship and guidance to prosthodontic staff and residents, fostering an environment of continuous learning and professional growth.
- Engage with referring physicians and other healthcare professionals to enhance interdisciplinary collaboration and improve patient outcomes.
- Monitor and evaluate department performance metrics, identifying opportunities for improvement and implementing necessary changes to achieve departmental objectives.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- DMD or DDS degree from an accredited dental school.
- Board certification in prosthodontics.
- Minimum of 8 years of clinical experience in maxillofacial prosthodontics with a strong focus on complex cases.
- Proven leadership experience in a clinical setting, with a track record of successful program development.
Preferred:
- Advanced training or fellowship in maxillofacial prosthodontics.
- Experience in academic teaching or clinical education.
- Published research in relevant prosthodontic journals.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep understanding of advanced prosthodontic techniques, including digital dentistry and CAD/CAM technologies.
- Proficiency in the use of advanced imaging technologies for treatment planning.
- Experience with 3D printing and other emerging technologies in prosthodontics.
