Role Overview
We are seeking a passionate and detail-oriented Junior Maxillofacial Prosthodontist to join our innovative dental practice. In this role, you will support our team in providing high-quality prosthetic solutions for patients with facial and dental anomalies, ensuring they receive the best possible care and outcomes.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the fabrication of maxillofacial prostheses, including facial prosthetics, obturators, and dental implants.
- Conduct thorough patient assessments, including taking impressions and performing necessary measurements.
- Collaborate with senior prosthodontists to develop treatment plans tailored to individual patient needs.
- Maintain detailed patient records and documentation to ensure compliance with treatment protocols.
- Engage in continuous learning and training opportunities to enhance clinical skills and knowledge.
- Participate in team meetings to discuss patient progress and share insights for improving care delivery.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) or Doctor of Dental Medicine (DMD) degree from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a residency program in prosthodontics or a related field.
- Strong attention to detail and excellent hand-eye coordination.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary team environment.
Preferred:
- Experience in maxillofacial prosthodontics through internships or clinical placements.
- Familiarity with digital dentistry tools and techniques.
- Commitment to ongoing professional development and staying current with industry advancements.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in dental imaging software and CAD/CAM technologies.
- Knowledge of materials used in prosthetic fabrication.
- Experience with 3D printing technologies in dentistry.
