Role Overview
We are seeking an esteemed academic leader for the position of Endowed Chair Professor of Marine Engineering. This role is critical in advancing marine engineering research, education, and outreach, while fostering interdisciplinary collaboration and innovation within our institution and beyond.
Responsibilities
- Lead and develop cutting-edge research initiatives in marine engineering, securing funding and publishing findings in high-impact journals
- Deliver high-quality instruction at both undergraduate and graduate levels, cultivating the next generation of marine engineers
- Mentor faculty and students, promoting a culture of academic excellence, innovation, and inclusion
- Collaborate with industry partners and government agencies to translate research into practical applications and societal benefits

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Ph.D. in Marine Engineering or a closely related field
- A distinguished record of research and scholarship in marine engineering, with an emphasis on innovation and impact

- Strong leadership and administrative skills, with experience in program development and management
