Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and experienced Chief Logistics Officer (CLO) to lead our logistics and supply chain operations. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for developing and implementing logistics strategies that enhance operational efficiency, reduce costs, and improve customer satisfaction across our global network.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive logistics strategy that aligns with the overall business objectives of the organization
- Oversee the end-to-end supply chain management process, including procurement, transportation, warehousing, and distribution
- Lead cross-functional teams to optimize logistics operations and drive continuous improvements
- Implement advanced technologies and systems to enhance logistics processes and data analytics capabilities
- Establish and maintain relationships with key suppliers, partners, and stakeholders to ensure seamless operations
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to assess performance and make data-driven decisions
- Manage logistics budgets and optimize costs while maintaining high service levels
- Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations and industry standards
- Lead and mentor a high-performing logistics team, fostering a culture of excellence and innovation
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 15+ years of experience in logistics, supply chain management, or related fields, with a proven track record in leadership positions
- Deep understanding of supply chain dynamics, logistics technologies, and best practices
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to make data-driven decisions
- Excellent leadership and team management skills, with experience in driving cultural change
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities
Preferred:
- Experience in a senior logistics role within a rapidly growing organization
- Advanced degree in supply chain management, business administration, or a related field
- Familiarity with Lean/Six Sigma methodologies and experience in process improvement initiatives
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in supply chain management software and tools (e.g., ERP systems, TMS, WMS)
- Proficient in data analysis tools and methodologies, including predictive analytics
- Experience with automation technologies and IoT applications in logistics
