Role Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated Livestock Show Team Leader to spearhead our show team operations, ensuring excellence in livestock presentation and competition strategies. In this role, you will leverage your expertise in livestock management and event coordination to lead our team to success in various competitions.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement training programs for team members focusing on livestock handling, grooming, and presentation skills.
- Coordinate logistics for livestock shows, including transportation, accommodations, and schedule management.
- Lead the team during shows, providing on-the-spot guidance and support to ensure optimal performance.
- Foster a positive and inclusive team culture, encouraging collaboration and skill development among team members.
- Establish and maintain relationships with judges, sponsors, and other stakeholders to enhance our team's reputation and opportunities.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in livestock management, including competitive show experience.
- Proven leadership skills with a track record of successfully managing teams in high-pressure environments.
- Strong knowledge of animal husbandry, grooming techniques, and livestock show standards.
Preferred:
- Experience with different livestock species and their specific handling requirements.
- Background in agricultural education or related fields.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with livestock management software and scheduling tools.
- Proficient in using social media platforms to promote events and team achievements.
- Understanding of biosecurity measures and animal welfare standards.

Location
