Role Overview
We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Assistant Liquor Store Manager to support the operations of our retail liquor store. In this role, you will work closely with the Store Manager to ensure that the store runs smoothly, efficiently, and profitably, while delivering an exceptional customer experience. Your leadership and organizational skills will be instrumental in managing daily operations, inventory control, and staff supervision.
Responsibilities
- Assist the Store Manager in overseeing daily store operations, including staff management, inventory control, and customer service.
- Support staff training and development to foster a knowledgeable team that excels in customer engagement and product knowledge.
- Implement effective merchandising strategies to enhance product visibility and maximize sales.
- Monitor inventory levels to ensure optimal stock availability and manage reordering processes.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with liquor laws and regulations, ensuring a safe and responsible environment for both staff and customers.
- Handle customer inquiries and resolve issues effectively to maintain high levels of customer satisfaction.
- Participate in sales promotions and community outreach initiatives to drive store traffic and build customer loyalty.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent; additional education in business or management is a plus.
- 2+ years of retail management or supervisory experience, preferably in the liquor or beverage industry.
- Strong understanding of retail operations and customer service excellence.
- Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
Preferred:
- Experience with inventory management systems and point-of-sale (POS) technology.
