Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Foreman Lineman to lead our team in the installation, maintenance, and repair of electrical power distribution systems. In this pivotal role, you will supervise crew activities, ensure compliance with safety regulations, and oversee the execution of complex projects while maintaining high standards of quality and efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage a team of linemen in the construction and maintenance of electrical power lines, ensuring projects are completed on time and within budget.
- Conduct regular site inspections to assess work progress, safety compliance, and adherence to project specifications.
- Coordinate with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to facilitate effective communication and collaboration.
- Supervise the installation and maintenance of electrical equipment, ensuring optimal performance and safety.
- Provide training and mentorship to junior linemen, promoting skill development and adherence to industry best practices.
- Respond to emergency situations, troubleshooting and resolving issues with minimal disruption to service.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in electrical line work, with a proven track record in a supervisory role.
- Valid Journeyman Lineman certification or equivalent.
- Strong knowledge of electrical safety regulations and industry standards.
- Excellent leadership and communication skills, with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
Preferred:
- Experience with high voltage systems and underground construction.
- Familiarity with project management software and scheduling tools.
- First Aid and CPR certification.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in the use of electrical testing equipment and tools, including voltmeters, ammeters, and cable locators.
- Experience with GIS software and mapping technologies for utility management.
- Understanding of renewable energy systems and integration into existing infrastructures.
