Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and visionary Director of Prosthetics to lead our clinical and operational strategies in the development and delivery of innovative prosthetic solutions. Responsibilities
- Lead the design, development, and implementation of advanced prosthetic technologies and solutions, ensuring they meet the diverse needs of our patients.
- Collaborate with clinical teams to establish best practices for prosthetic fittings, evaluations, and ongoing patient care.
- Oversee the prosthetics department's operations, including quality assurance, budget management, and compliance with regulatory standards.
- Develop and maintain strategic partnerships with healthcare providers, research institutions, and industry leaders to foster innovation and improve patient outcomes.
- Mentor and lead a team of prosthetists and support staff, promoting professional development and a culture of excellence.
- Conduct research and stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in prosthetic care to drive continuous improvement.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Prosthetics and Orthotics or a related field.
- 10+ years of clinical experience in prosthetics, including at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Strong knowledge of prosthetic design, biomechanics, and fitting techniques.
- Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead cross-functional teams.
Preferred:
- Certification from the American Board for Certification in Orthotics, Prosthetics, and Pedorthics (ABC).
- Experience with digital fabrication technologies and 3D printing in prosthetics.
- Proven track record of research and publications in the field of prosthetics.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in prosthetic design software and CAD/CAM technologies.
- Familiarity with patient management systems and electronic health records.
- Understanding of regulatory compliance and quality management systems in healthcare.
