Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Optical Dispenser Manager to lead our remote optical dispensing team. In this role, you will oversee the daily operations of our optical dispensing services, ensuring exceptional patient care and operational efficiency. Your leadership will be crucial in shaping the future of our optical offerings and enhancing the overall customer experience.
Responsibilities
- Manage and mentor a team of optical dispensers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Develop and implement operational policies and procedures to enhance workflow efficiency and patient satisfaction.
- Collaborate with optical technicians to ensure accurate fitting and dispensing of eyewear products.
- Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide ongoing training to enhance team skills and knowledge.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage supplier relationships to ensure timely availability of optical products.
- Handle complex patient inquiries and resolve issues related to optical dispensing and product quality.
- Analyze operational metrics and establish goals to drive performance improvements.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in optical dispensing with at least 2 years in a managerial role.
- Strong understanding of optical products, fitting techniques, and industry standards.
- Proven track record of enhancing operational processes and improving patient outcomes.
- Excellent leadership and team management skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate with diverse teams and clients.
Preferred:
- Experience with remote team management and virtual collaboration tools.
- Certification as an Optical Dispenser or equivalent recognized qualification.
- Familiarity with optical software systems and inventory management tools.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in optical dispensing techniques and practices.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and optical management software.
- Ability to analyze data and generate reports to inform decision-making.
