Role Overview

Responsibilities

- Process new library materials, including cataloging, labeling, and preparing items for circulation
- Maintain accurate records of library circulation and inventory, identifying trends and assisting in collection management
- Collaborate with library staff to plan and implement community engagement programs and events
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- High school diploma or equivalent; relevant experience in a library or customer service setting preferred
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a dynamic environment
Preferred:
- Experience with library management systems and circulation software
- Knowledge of library policies, procedures, and best practices
- Familiarity with cataloging standards and classification systems
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using integrated library systems (ILS) and basic computer applications
- Ability to navigate online databases and digital library resources
- Experience with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
