Role Overview
We are seeking a detail-oriented Library Services Coordinator to oversee our library operations and enhance user experience through innovative services and programs. This role involves collaborating with various stakeholders to ensure the effective delivery of library services while adapting to the needs of our community.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate daily library operations, ensuring efficient workflow and quality service delivery
- Develop and implement library programs and services that meet the informational and educational needs of patrons
- Manage library resources, including acquisitions, cataloging, and collection development
- Supervise and mentor library staff, fostering an environment of professional development and teamwork
- Conduct regular assessments and evaluations of library services to identify areas for improvement
- Collaborate with community organizations and stakeholders to promote library resources and services
- Assist with budgeting and financial management of library operations
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Library Science (MLS) or equivalent
- 3+ years of experience in library services or administration
- Demonstrated knowledge of library management systems and emerging technologies
- Strong organizational and project management skills
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred:
- Experience in a supervisory or leadership role within a library setting
- Familiarity with digital resources and online library services
- Experience in community outreach or public relations within a library context
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in library management software (e.g., Koha, SirsiDynix)
- Understanding of cataloging standards and practices (e.g., MARC, RDA)
- Familiarity with data analysis tools to assess library usage and impact

Location
