Role Overview
We are seeking a visionary Chief of Internal Medicine to lead our dedicated team in delivering exceptional patient care and advancing the practice of internal medicine. Responsibilities
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for the internal medicine department, ensuring alignment with the organization's vision and goals.
- Develop and implement clinical protocols, best practices, and quality improvement initiatives to enhance patient care.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to drive organizational performance, including patient satisfaction, financial viability, and clinical excellence.
- Mentor and support physicians and medical staff, promoting professional development and fostering a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
- Engage in high-level clinical decision-making, addressing complex cases and ensuring adherence to evidence-based practices.
- Oversee departmental budgeting, resource allocation, and performance metrics to ensure operational efficiency and sustainability.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- MD or DO degree with board certification in Internal Medicine.
- 10+ years of clinical experience in internal medicine, including a minimum of 5 years in a leadership role.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a diverse team, with a strong focus on collaboration and patient-centered care.
- Proven track record of driving quality improvement initiatives and implementing effective clinical programs.
Preferred:
- Advanced degrees (MBA, MPH) or additional certifications in healthcare management.
- Experience in academic medicine and involvement in research initiatives.
- Familiarity with health information technology and data analytics to inform clinical decision-making.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Extensive knowledge of internal medicine practices, clinical guidelines, and regulatory requirements.
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and integrated healthcare technologies.
- Proficient in utilizing data analytics tools for performance tracking and quality improvement.
