Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and innovative Director of Instructional Design to lead our instructional design team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of instructional designers, providing guidance in best practices and innovative design methodologies.
- Develop and implement a comprehensive instructional design framework that aligns with organizational goals and learner needs.
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) and stakeholders to define learning objectives, outcomes, and assessment strategies.
- Oversee the design and development of engaging and interactive learning materials, including e-learning modules, instructor-led training, and performance support tools.
- Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of learning programs through analytics, assessments, and learner feedback.
- Stay abreast of emerging trends and technologies in instructional design and learning science to continuously enhance our offerings.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Instructional Design, Education, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in instructional design and e-learning development, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of designing and implementing successful learning programs in a corporate or higher education environment.
- Deep understanding of adult learning theories, instructional design models, and assessment strategies.
Preferred:
- Experience with Learning Management Systems (LMS) and authoring tools such as Articulate Storyline, Adobe Captivate, or similar.
- Familiarity with data analytics tools to analyze learning outcomes and program effectiveness.
- Certifications in instructional design or educational technology (e.g., ATD, IDA).
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in designing and developing multimedia learning experiences, including video, graphics, and interactive content.
- Proficiency in using LMS platforms and understanding of SCORM/AICC standards.
- Strong analytical skills and ability to leverage data to drive instructional decisions.
