Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Institutional Food Service Manager to oversee and enhance our food service operations within a diverse institutional setting. In this strategic role, you will be responsible for managing the overall food service program, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and delivering exceptional dining experiences that align with our mission of promoting health and wellness.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all aspects of the food service operations, including staffing, budgeting, and menu planning
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards, conducting regular inspections and training staff
- Develop and implement innovative menus that meet the nutritional needs of our diverse clientele
- Collaborate with kitchen staff to maintain high standards in food quality and presentation
- Monitor inventory and procurement processes to ensure cost-effectiveness and sustainability

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Food Service Management, Nutrition, Hospitality Management, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in food service management, preferably in an institutional or healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to manage a diverse team
Preferred:
- Culinary certification or accredited food service management certification
- Experience with budget management and cost control in a food service environment
- Familiarity with dietary restrictions and food allergies
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in food service management software and inventory systems
- Strong understanding of menu planning and nutritional analysis
- Experience with catering and event planning in a large-scale setting
