Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled Conveyor Belt Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance operations in ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of conveyor systems. This is a critical role that combines technical expertise with leadership capabilities to maintain our production efficiency and safety standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and direct the maintenance team to perform preventive and corrective maintenance on conveyor belt systems.
- Develop and implement maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and optimize equipment performance.
- Conduct regular inspections and assessments of conveyor systems to identify potential issues and ensure compliance with safety regulations.
- Lead root cause analysis for equipment failures and develop strategies for improvement.
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure maintenance activities align with production schedules.
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, including work orders, inventory, and equipment performance metrics.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in maintenance or operations within an industrial environment, preferably with conveyor systems.
- Strong understanding of mechanical systems, electrical systems, and conveyor operations.
- Proven experience in a supervisory role, demonstrating leadership and team management skills.
- Familiarity with safety standards and regulations relevant to maintenance operations.
Preferred:
- Technical certification in maintenance management or a related field.
- Experience with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).
- Knowledge of continuous improvement methodologies such as Six Sigma or Lean.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in diagnosing and troubleshooting mechanical and electrical issues in conveyor systems.
- Experience with maintenance planning software and tools.
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics.
