Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced HVAC Manager to lead our remote team in ensuring the design, installation, and maintenance of HVAC systems meet the highest standards of efficiency and sustainability. In this role, you will leverage your extensive knowledge of HVAC technologies and industry best practices to oversee projects from conception to completion, ensuring compliance with local codes and regulations.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage HVAC project teams, ensuring that all projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specifications
- Develop and implement HVAC strategies that optimize system performance and energy efficiency
- Conduct site assessments and evaluations to determine project requirements and feasibility
- Collaborate with design and engineering teams to develop comprehensive HVAC system designs
- Review and approve HVAC system designs, equipment selections, and installation plans
- Monitor project progress and performance, providing regular updates to stakeholders
- Ensure compliance with all applicable safety and environmental regulations
- Train and mentor junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and technical excellence
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC Technology, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in HVAC system design, installation, and project management
- Strong knowledge of HVAC codes, standards, and regulations
- Proven track record in managing multiple projects simultaneously
Preferred:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or equivalent certification
- Experience with energy modeling software and building information modeling (BIM)
- Familiarity with sustainable design practices and energy efficiency programs
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep understanding of HVAC systems, including chillers, boilers, and air handling units
- Proficiency in HVAC design software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, HAP)
- Experience with building automation systems and controls
- Knowledge of energy efficiency and renewable energy technologies
