Role Overview
We are looking for a detail-oriented HMDA Program Manager to oversee and ensure compliance with the Home Mortgage Disclosure Act regulations. In this role, you will be responsible for leading the HMDA reporting process, collaborating with various departments, and implementing best practices to enhance data accuracy and integrity.
Responsibilities
- Manage the HMDA reporting process to ensure timely and accurate submissions as per regulatory requirements
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including compliance, IT, and lending departments to gather necessary data
- Develop and implement strategies to improve data collection and reporting efficiency
- Conduct regular audits and reviews of HMDA data to identify discrepancies and opportunities for improvement
- Serve as the primary contact for regulatory inquiries related to HMDA
- Provide training and guidance to staff on HMDA compliance and reporting
- Monitor changes in regulations and industry standards to ensure ongoing compliance
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Business Administration, or a related field
- 5+ years of experience in compliance or program management, preferably within the financial services industry
- Strong understanding of HMDA regulations and reporting requirements
- Proven experience in data analysis and reporting
Preferred:
- Experience with automated reporting systems and data management tools
- Certification in compliance or risk management (e.g., CRCM, CAMS)
- Strong project management skills with a track record of successful program implementation
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in data analysis tools such as SQL, Excel, and data visualization software
- Familiarity with HMDA reporting software and data management systems
- Experience with regulatory compliance frameworks and audit processes
