Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Health Technician to join our innovative healthcare team. This role is critical in overseeing health technology operations, ensuring high standards of patient care, and leading a team of dedicated health technicians in delivering exceptional service. You will be instrumental in implementing best practices in health technology management and optimizing the use of advanced medical equipment.
Responsibilities
- Lead and mentor a team of health technicians, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement in health technology practices
- Oversee the maintenance, calibration, and operation of medical equipment, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards and safety protocols
- Develop and implement training programs for health technicians to enhance skills and knowledge in the latest health technologies
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals to assess technological needs and provide solutions to improve patient outcomes
- Conduct regular audits and inspections of health technology systems to ensure optimal performance and patient safety
- Manage inventory and procurement of medical equipment and supplies, ensuring availability and cost-effectiveness
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in health technology or a related field, with a focus on medical equipment management
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations and standards (e.g., FDA, ISO)
- Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing teams effectively
- Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Biomedical Engineering, Health Technology, or a related field
- Certification in Biomedical Equipment Technology (CBET) or equivalent
- Experience with electronic health record (EHR) systems and health informatics
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- In-depth knowledge of medical devices, including diagnostic imaging, surgical instruments, and therapeutic equipment
- Familiarity with health information systems and data management tools
- Proficiency in troubleshooting and repairing medical equipment
