Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Assistant Geochemical Manager to join our team in a fully remote capacity. In this role, you will be instrumental in supporting geochemical projects, ensuring the integrity of geochemical data, and collaborating closely with cross-functional teams to drive sustainable environmental practices. Your expertise will help shape our strategic approach to geochemical analysis and data interpretation.
Responsibilities
- Assist in the management of geochemical projects, including planning, execution, and reporting of results.
- Conduct detailed geochemical analyses and interpretations using advanced methodologies.
- Collaborate with field teams to collect, analyze, and interpret geochemical data from various sources.
- Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and industry standards in geochemical testing.
- Prepare and present technical reports and findings to stakeholders, ensuring clarity and precision.
- Support the development of best practices for sampling, analysis, and data management.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Geochemistry, Geology, Environmental Science, or a related field.
- 2+ years of experience in geochemical analysis or project management within the environmental sector.
- Strong understanding of geochemical methods and laboratory procedures.
- Proficiency in data analysis software and geospatial tools.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field.
- Experience in managing geochemical projects with a focus on environmental impact assessments.
- Familiarity with regulatory frameworks and compliance for geochemical testing.
- Experience with statistical analysis and modeling software.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep knowledge of geochemical analysis techniques including ICP-MS, AAS, and XRF.
- Proficiency in data visualization tools such as Tableau or R.
- Experience with Geographic Information Systems (GIS) for spatial data analysis.
