Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Supervisor for our Gas Turbine Assembly team. In this role, you will oversee assembly operations, ensuring adherence to quality standards and production schedules while fostering a culture of safety and continuous improvement. You will lead a team of technicians and engineers, driving efficiency and excellence in gas turbine assembly processes.
Responsibilities
- Supervise daily assembly operations of gas turbines, ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards
- Lead and mentor a team of assembly technicians, providing guidance and support to enhance their skills and performance
- Develop and implement assembly schedules, allocating resources to meet production targets
- Conduct regular inspections and audits to identify areas for improvement and ensure adherence to company policies
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including engineering and quality assurance, to resolve technical issues and streamline processes
- Monitor key performance indicators (KPIs) related to assembly efficiency, quality, and safety, and take corrective actions as necessary
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in gas turbine assembly or related manufacturing environments
- Proven leadership experience, with a track record of managing teams and driving performance improvements
- Strong understanding of gas turbine assembly processes, including mechanical and electrical systems
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering, or a related field
- Experience with Lean Manufacturing principles and methodologies
- Familiarity with industry standards and regulations related to gas turbine assembly
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in using assembly tools and equipment, including torque wrenches, hoists, and precision measuring instruments
- Knowledge of CAD software and technical documentation related to gas turbine components
- Experience with quality control methodologies and defect tracking systems
