Role Overview
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Forklift Maintenance Supervisor to oversee our maintenance operations in a fully remote capacity. In this leadership role, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficiency and safety of our fleet of forklifts, developing maintenance strategies, and supervising a team of technicians dedicated to maintaining high operational standards.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the forklift maintenance team, ensuring adherence to safety and operational standards.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to enhance forklift uptime and performance.
- Coordinate maintenance schedules and allocate resources effectively to meet operational demands.
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of maintenance activities, ensuring compliance with regulatory and safety standards.
- Analyze maintenance data and metrics to identify trends and areas for improvement.
- Train and mentor technicians on best practices and safety protocols to foster a culture of continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with procurement to ensure availability of necessary parts and supplies for maintenance operations.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in forklift maintenance or a related field, with at least 2 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of forklift operations, maintenance protocols, and safety regulations.
- Ability to read and interpret technical manuals and schematics.
- Excellent leadership skills with a proven track record of managing teams effectively.
Preferred:
- Certification from a recognized forklift training program.
- Experience with fleet management software and maintenance tracking systems.
- Proven ability to optimize maintenance processes and reduce downtime.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using maintenance management systems and tools.
- Knowledge of hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and mechanical systems related to forklifts.
- Experience with diagnostic tools and troubleshooting techniques.
