Role Overview
We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented Food Service Manager to oversee daily operations in our food service department. You will play a crucial role in ensuring that our clients receive exceptional service and high-quality food, while also managing a diverse team and maintaining compliance with health and safety regulations.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily food service operations, ensuring efficiency, quality, and consistency across all areas
- Lead, train, and mentor a team of food service staff, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment
- Develop and implement standard operating procedures to enhance productivity and service quality
- Manage inventory levels, order supplies, and control food costs to maximize profitability
- Ensure compliance with health and safety standards, maintaining a safe and sanitary environment for both staff and customers
- Collaborate with culinary teams to create innovative menus that meet customer preferences and dietary restrictions
- Analyze customer feedback and performance metrics to identify areas for improvement
- Implement marketing strategies to promote food service offerings and enhance customer engagement
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in food service management, preferably in a high-volume environment
- Strong understanding of food safety regulations and best practices
- Exceptional leadership and team management skills
- Proven ability to manage budgets and control costs
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Hospitality Management, Culinary Arts, or a related field
- Experience with inventory management systems and point-of-sale (POS) software
- Certification in food safety and sanitation (e.g., ServSafe)
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and inventory management systems
- Familiarity with scheduling software and payroll systems
- Experience with menu planning and development software
