Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and operationally-driven Director of Food Service to lead our culinary operations and enhance our food service offerings across multiple locations. This role is critical in developing innovative food service strategies, ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, and driving customer satisfaction through exceptional culinary experiences.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive food service strategies that align with the company’s mission and goals.
- Oversee daily operations of food service departments, ensuring efficient processes and high-quality standards.
- Lead and mentor a diverse team of culinary professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Collaborate with supply chain and procurement teams to optimize food sourcing, manage inventory, and control costs.
- Establish and monitor KPIs to assess food service performance, customer satisfaction, and operational efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety, and regulatory standards across all food service operations.
- Innovate menu offerings based on consumer trends, nutritional guidelines, and local sourcing opportunities.
- Engage with stakeholders to promote food service initiatives and enhance customer engagement.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 8+ years of experience in food service management, with a strong focus on operational and strategic leadership.
- Proven track record of developing successful culinary programs and managing large-scale food service operations.
- Strong knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in the food service industry.
- Exceptional leadership skills with the ability to motivate and develop high-performing teams.
Preferred:
- Bachelor’s degree in Culinary Arts, Food Service Management, Hospitality Management, or a related field.
- Experience in menu development and nutritional analysis.
- Demonstrated success in implementing cost-saving initiatives and enhancing operational efficiency.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep expertise in food service operations, inventory management systems, and financial analysis.
- Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and food service management software.
- Proficiency in data analysis tools to track performance metrics and identify improvement opportunities.
