Role Overview
We are seeking a distinguished and visionary Endowed Chair Professor of Family Welfare Social Work to lead and innovate our academic programs in social work, with a focus on enhancing family welfare practices through research, education, and community engagement. This fully remote position provides an exceptional opportunity to influence the future of social work education and practice on a national level.
Responsibilities
- Provide academic leadership and strategic direction for the Family Welfare Social Work program, ensuring alignment with the latest developments in social work practice and policy.
- Develop and implement cutting-edge curriculum that integrates theoretical knowledge with practical applications in family welfare.
- Conduct rigorous research in family welfare, contributing to scholarly publications, and disseminating findings at national and international conferences.
- Foster partnerships with community organizations, governmental agencies, and stakeholders to enhance the impact of family welfare initiatives.
- Mentor and guide faculty and students, fostering an inclusive and diverse academic environment.
- Engage in grant writing and fundraising activities to support research initiatives and program development.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- A doctorate in Social Work or a closely related field from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated expertise in family welfare, social justice, and community engagement.
- At least 10 years of experience in social work practice, with a strong record of leadership in academic settings.
- Evidence of scholarly contributions to the field, including publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Commitment to diversity, equity, and inclusion in higher education.
Preferred:
- Experience in online teaching and curriculum development.
- Strong network within the social work community and experience collaborating with interdisciplinary teams.
- Experience with community-based participatory research methods.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in research methodologies and statistical analysis relevant to social work.
- Familiarity with learning management systems and online teaching platforms.
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative research tools, as well as data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, NVivo).
