Role Overview
We are seeking an Exercise Program Coordinator to lead and innovate our fitness initiatives, driving engagement and participation across diverse demographics. In this role, you will be responsible for developing, implementing, and evaluating exercise programs that promote health and wellness in our community.
Responsibilities
- Design and implement a variety of exercise programs tailored to different fitness levels and health needs
- Conduct assessments to identify participant fitness levels and create personalized fitness plans
- Coordinate and schedule fitness classes, workshops, and events, ensuring a seamless experience for participants
- Engage with participants to provide motivation, support, and guidance throughout their fitness journey
- Evaluate program effectiveness through participant feedback and fitness outcomes, making adjustments as necessary
- Collaborate with healthcare professionals and community partners to promote exercise programs and increase outreach
- Maintain accurate records of participant progress and program metrics
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Exercise Science, Kinesiology, or a related field
- 2+ years of experience in program coordination, fitness training, or a related role
- Certification in personal training or group fitness instruction from a recognized organization
- Strong knowledge of exercise principles, health promotion, and wellness strategies
Preferred:
- Experience working with diverse populations and adaptive exercise programming
- Additional certifications in specialized fitness areas (e.g., yoga, pilates, strength training)
- Proficiency in using fitness assessment tools and software
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with fitness tracking technologies and applications
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and fitness management software
- Experience in data analysis to assess program impact and participant progress
Soft Skills and Cultural Fit
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills to foster relationships with participants and stakeholders
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple programs and priorities
