Role Overview
We are seeking a highly motivated and dynamic Assistant Professor of Environmental Science, Management and Policy to join our academic team. This role is critical in shaping the curriculum and fostering innovative research that addresses pressing environmental challenges through interdisciplinary approaches. Responsibilities
- Develop and teach undergraduate and graduate courses in Environmental Science, Management, and Policy, integrating current research and practical applications.

- Supervise and mentor students in their academic and research pursuits, fostering a collaborative learning environment.
- Engage with community stakeholders and policymakers to translate research findings into actionable insights and strategies.
- Participate in departmental and university service, contributing to curriculum development and faculty governance.
- Seek external funding opportunities to support research initiatives and enhance program offerings.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Ph.D. in Environmental Science, Environmental Policy, or a related field.
- Demonstrated expertise in environmental management and policy, with a strong research record.
- Experience in teaching at the university level, with a commitment to student engagement and success.
- Proven ability to conduct interdisciplinary research and collaborate across various fields.
Preferred:
- Experience working with governmental and non-governmental organizations on environmental issues.
- Strong publication record in peer-reviewed journals.
- Grant writing experience and a history of securing funding.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in statistical analysis software (e.g., R, Python, or similar) and data visualization tools.
- Familiarity with geographic information systems (GIS) and remote sensing technologies.
- Experience with qualitative and quantitative research methodologies.
