Role Overview
We are looking for an experienced Environmental Remediation Project Manager to lead and manage complex remediation projects from initiation to completion. You will oversee project planning, execution, and closure, ensuring compliance with environmental regulations while delivering high-quality results that align with our mission of sustainable development and environmental stewardship.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement comprehensive project plans for remediation activities, including scope, schedule, and budget
- Coordinate with interdisciplinary teams, including geologists, engineers, and environmental scientists, to execute project tasks effectively
- Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local environmental regulations, including obtaining necessary permits and approvals
- Conduct site assessments and risk evaluations, providing technical guidance on remediation methodologies
- Manage project budgets, forecasts, and resource allocation, ensuring financial accountability and transparency
- Communicate project progress to stakeholders and clients, addressing concerns and providing solutions
- Mentor junior staff and foster a culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor’s degree in Environmental Science, Engineering, or a related field
- 5+ years of project management experience in environmental remediation or related fields
- Demonstrated knowledge of environmental regulations and compliance requirements
- Strong project management skills, including proficiency in project management software
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in a relevant field
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent
- Experience with hazardous waste management and site remediation technologies
- Familiarity with environmental impact assessments and sustainability practices
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in project management tools (e.g., Microsoft Project, Primavera)
- Experience with GIS software and environmental modeling tools
- Understanding of soil and groundwater remediation techniques, including bioremediation and chemical oxidation
