Role Overview
We are looking for a highly skilled Lead Environmental Remediation Engineering Technician to join our team. In this pivotal role, you will oversee and execute complex environmental remediation projects, ensuring compliance with regulatory standards while employing innovative engineering solutions to restore contaminated sites.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning, design, and execution of environmental remediation projects, focusing on soil and groundwater treatment technologies.
- Conduct site assessments and prepare detailed reports on contamination levels, remediation strategies, and project progress.
- Collaborate with regulatory agencies, clients, and internal teams to develop and implement effective remediation plans.
- Utilize advanced analytical techniques and environmental modeling software to assess site conditions and predict remediation outcomes.
- Manage project timelines, budgets, and resources to ensure successful project delivery while maintaining high safety and quality standards.
- Mentor junior technicians and engineers, fostering a culture of continuous learning and technical excellence within the team.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Environmental Engineering, Civil Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of experience in environmental remediation, with a proven track record of leading successful projects.
- Strong knowledge of environmental regulations, remediation technologies, and best practices.
- Experience with project management methodologies and tools, including budget management and scheduling.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information to diverse stakeholders.
Preferred:
- Professional Engineer (PE) license or relevant certifications (e.g., LEED, HAZWOPER).
- Experience with advanced remediation technologies such as bioremediation, chemical oxidation, and in-situ treatment methods.
- Familiarity with environmental modeling software and GIS applications.
