Role Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced and strategic Director of Emergency Nursing to lead our innovative nursing team in delivering exceptional emergency care. In this fully remote role, you will oversee clinical operations, drive quality improvement initiatives, and ensure compliance with regulatory standards while fostering a culture of excellence and compassion across our nursing staff.
Responsibilities
- Provide leadership and direction to the emergency nursing team, ensuring high-quality patient care and optimal clinical outcomes.
- Develop, implement, and evaluate nursing practice standards and protocols for emergency care in alignment with best practices and organizational goals.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to enhance operational efficiency, streamline workflows, and implement evidence-based practices.
- Lead initiatives for regulatory compliance, accreditation, and quality improvement, ensuring adherence to local, state, and federal regulations.
- Manage budgets and resource allocation effectively to support departmental needs and achieve financial sustainability.
- Mentor and support nursing staff through professional development programs, performance evaluations, and succession planning.
- Engage with stakeholders to advocate for patient-centered care and promote a positive work environment.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in nursing or related field.
- Current RN license with a minimum of 10 years of clinical nursing experience, including 5 years in emergency nursing leadership.
- Proven track record of successful program development, implementation, and evaluation in a high-acuity care environment.
- Strong understanding of healthcare regulations, quality metrics, and performance improvement processes.
Preferred:
- Doctorate in nursing or healthcare administration.
- Certification in Emergency Nursing (CEN) or related specialty.
- Experience in a remote leadership role.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in electronic health record (EHR) systems and data analytics tools.
- Familiarity with telehealth technologies and remote patient monitoring systems.
- Experience with budgeting, resource management, and performance metrics analysis.
