Role Overview
We are looking for an innovative and strategic Head of Electronic Resources to join our team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master's degree in Library Science, Information Science, or a related field.
- 8+ years of experience in library electronic resources management, with at least 3 years in a leadership role.
- Proven track record of managing electronic resource acquisitions, licensing negotiations, and vendor relationships.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret data and make data-driven decisions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively across departments.
Preferred:
- Experience with integrated library systems (ILS) and electronic resource management systems (ERMS).
- Familiarity with open access initiatives and trends in scholarly communication.
- Demonstrated ability to lead change initiatives in a complex organizational environment.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Advanced proficiency in electronic resource management tools and platforms.
- Experience with bibliographic databases and citation management software.
- Knowledge of data analytics tools to assess resource usage and impact.
