We are searching for a highly skilled Lead ENG Camera Operator to join our dynamic media production team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Lead the ENG camera operations team, ensuring high standards of video quality and creativity throughout all productions
- Collaborate closely with producers, directors, and other crew members to understand the vision and requirements of each project
- Operate and maintain a variety of camera equipment, including handheld, tripod-mounted, and stabilizer systems, to capture dynamic footage
- Implement advanced shooting techniques and camera settings to achieve optimal results in various lighting and environmental conditions
- Provide guidance and training to junior camera operators and crew members, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and excellence
- Stay current with industry trends, technologies, and best practices to enhance production quality and efficiency
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience as a camera operator in ENG or a related field, with a strong portfolio demonstrating your work
- Proficiency in operating various camera systems, including DSLR, mirrorless, and broadcast cameras
- Comprehensive understanding of lighting techniques, composition, and the principles of visual storytelling
- Experience with video editing software, such as Adobe Premiere Pro or Final Cut Pro
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively within a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
- Experience in live broadcasting and the ability to think quickly under pressure
- Knowledge of drone operation or advanced camera rigs
- Familiarity with audio recording equipment and techniques
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Expertise in camera operation and maintenance, including lens selection and camera settings
- Proficient in video production workflows, from pre-production planning to post-production editing
- Familiarity with broadcast standards and regulations
