Role Overview
We are seeking a meticulous and experienced Senior Housekeeper to lead our housekeeping team in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and presentation in our facilities. This role is crucial in ensuring a welcoming and hygienic environment, while also providing mentorship and guidance to junior staff members.
Responsibilities
- Oversee daily housekeeping operations, ensuring compliance with established cleaning procedures and safety standards.
- Develop and implement effective cleaning schedules, delegating tasks to team members to optimize productivity.
- Conduct regular inspections of guest rooms, public areas, and back-of-house spaces to ensure cleanliness and maintenance standards are met.
- Train and mentor junior housekeeping staff, fostering a culture of excellence and attention to detail.
- Manage inventory of cleaning supplies and equipment, ensuring adequate stocks are maintained and ordering as necessary.
- Address guest feedback and concerns promptly, implementing corrective actions to enhance service quality.
- Collaborate with other departments to coordinate special projects or events requiring additional cleaning support.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in housekeeping or facilities management, with a strong emphasis on leadership roles.
- Proven track record of maintaining high cleanliness standards in a large facility or hospitality environment.
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written, with a focus on team collaboration.
Preferred:
- Experience in training and developing team members in housekeeping best practices.
- Knowledge of cleaning chemicals and supplies, as well as safety data sheets.
- Proficiency in using housekeeping management software and scheduling tools.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in the use of cleaning equipment and tools, including vacuum cleaners, floor buffers, and chemical dispensers.
- Familiarity with housekeeping management software for tracking tasks and inventory.
- Understanding of health and safety regulations pertinent to housekeeping operations.
