Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Dive Supervisor to lead our underwater operations, ensuring safety and compliance while delivering exceptional service. In this pivotal role, you'll oversee dive teams, manage project timelines, and develop operational strategies that align with our mission of excellence in underwater exploration and engineering.
Responsibilities
- Lead and supervise dive teams to ensure adherence to safety protocols and operational procedures during all underwater projects
- Conduct risk assessments and develop dive plans tailored to specific project requirements
- Coordinate logistics for dive operations, including equipment checks, personnel assignments, and scheduling
- Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements for diving operations
- Provide training and mentorship to dive team members, promoting a culture of continuous improvement and safety
- Document and report on dive activities, including incident reports and performance metrics
- Collaborate with project managers and engineers to align dive operations with overall project goals
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in commercial diving operations, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory role
- Certification in commercial diving (e.g., ADCI, IMCA) and relevant first aid/CPR certifications
- Strong understanding of diving equipment, safety protocols, and underwater engineering principles
- Proven ability to lead teams and manage complex underwater projects
Preferred:
- Experience with underwater construction, inspection, and maintenance
- Knowledge of marine ecosystems and environmental regulations
- Advanced diving certifications (e.g., saturation diving, dive medic)
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency with diving equipment and technologies, including ROVs and sonar systems
- Experience in project management software and reporting tools
- Familiarity with underwater welding and cutting techniques
