Role Overview
We are looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented Dispatch Manager to oversee the efficient coordination of logistics and transportation operations within our organization. In this fully remote role, you will be responsible for managing dispatch activities, ensuring timely deliveries, and optimizing the overall transportation process to meet our clients' needs.
Responsibilities
- Lead and manage the dispatch team, ensuring effective communication and coordination among team members.
- Develop and implement dispatch strategies to improve operational efficiency and reduce delivery times.
- Monitor and analyze transportation metrics to identify areas for improvement and implement corrective actions.
- Establish strong relationships with carriers and clients to facilitate seamless communication and service delivery.
- Oversee the scheduling of deliveries and pickups, ensuring optimal routing for cost-effectiveness and timeliness.
- Resolve any issues or disruptions in the transportation process, utilizing problem-solving skills to maintain service quality.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in dispatch or logistics management, with a proven track record of success.
- Strong understanding of transportation regulations and best practices.
- Demonstrated ability to lead a team and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
- Proficient in using dispatch software and transportation management systems.
Preferred:
- Bachelor's degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience with fleet management and optimization of transportation resources.
- Certifications in logistics or supply chain management are a plus.
