Role Overview
We are seeking a strategic and visionary Chief Procurement Officer (CPO) to lead our global procurement function and drive significant value across our supply chain. As CPO, you will be responsible for developing innovative procurement strategies that align with our business objectives while fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute a comprehensive procurement strategy that optimizes our supply chain operations and reduces costs while enhancing quality and delivery performance.
- Lead and mentor a high-performing procurement team, fostering a culture of continuous improvement and professional growth.
- Establish strong relationships with key suppliers, conducting negotiations to secure favorable terms and ensuring alignment with our sustainability goals.
- Utilize data analytics to drive informed decision-making and identify opportunities for process efficiencies and cost reduction.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with stakeholders to align procurement initiatives with business needs and ensure compliance with corporate policies and procedures.
- Oversee the procurement budget, ensuring the responsible allocation of resources and monitoring financial performance against targets.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 10+ years of progressive experience in procurement, supply chain management, or a related field, with a proven track record of leadership.
- Expertise in strategic sourcing methodologies and supplier relationship management.
- Strong analytical skills with experience in data-driven decision-making and cost modeling.
- Exceptional negotiation skills with a history of successful contract management.
- Demonstrated ability to influence and collaborate with cross-functional teams and senior leadership.
Preferred:
- Master’s degree in Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field.
- Experience in a large-scale manufacturing, retail, or technology environment.
- Knowledge of sustainability practices in procurement and supply chain.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in procurement software and tools, such as SAP Ariba, Coupa, or similar platforms.
- Familiarity with e-sourcing and spend analysis tools.
- Understanding of supply chain risk management principles and practices.
