Role Overview
As a Deputy United States Marshal, you will play a critical role in the enforcement of federal laws and the protection of federal witnesses. This position requires a commitment to public service and upholding the rule of law, and you will work closely with various law enforcement agencies to execute warrants, apprehend fugitives, and ensure justice is served.
Responsibilities
- Execute federal arrest warrants and conduct fugitive apprehension operations.
- Transport and secure federal prisoners, ensuring their safety and the safety of the public during transport.
- Collaborate with other federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies during investigations and operations.
- Conduct surveillance and gather intelligence to support ongoing investigations.
- Prepare and present detailed reports and case files for prosecution.
- Provide testimony in court as required and maintain thorough documentation of operations and outcomes.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- U.S. citizenship and at least 21 years of age.
- A valid driver’s license and the ability to operate a motor vehicle.
- Strong physical fitness and ability to meet rigorous physical demands of the role.
- Prior experience in law enforcement or military service is preferred.
Preferred:
- Experience in criminal investigations, surveillance, or security operations.
- Knowledge of federal criminal laws and procedures.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in using advanced surveillance equipment and investigative tools.
- Familiarity with law enforcement databases and tracking systems.

Location
This is a hybrid position, with the expectation that successful candidates will work from the office at least 3 days a week while also having the flexibility to work remotely.
