Role Overview
We are looking for a highly motivated Junior Deployment Manager to join our dynamic team at [$COMPANY_NAME]. Responsibilities
- Assist in planning and coordinating deployment schedules for software releases
- Support the configuration and setup of environments for deployment
- Monitor deployment activities and report on progress, issues, and risks
- Collaborate with development teams to troubleshoot and resolve deployment-related issues
- Document deployment processes and maintain accurate records
- Participate in post-deployment reviews to gather feedback and improve future deployments
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- 1+ year of experience in deployment management or a related role
- Basic understanding of software development lifecycle and deployment processes
- Familiarity with version control systems (e.g., Git) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) tools
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
Preferred:
- Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, Google Cloud)
- Knowledge of scripting languages (e.g., Bash, Python) for automation tasks
- Exposure to Agile methodologies and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Trello)
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Understanding of deployment tools and technologies
- Familiarity with containerization (e.g., Docker) and orchestration (e.g., Kubernetes)
- Basic knowledge of networking concepts and system administration
Soft Skills and Cultural Fit
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced, remote environment
