Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Data Center Technician to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for the installation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of critical data center infrastructure. You will ensure the optimal performance of hardware systems by performing regular inspections and repairs, while also collaborating with cross-functional teams to support ongoing operations.
Responsibilities
- Install, configure, and maintain physical servers, networking equipment, and storage systems in a large-scale data center environment.
- Monitor system performance and capacity, ensuring uptime and reliability of all data center operations.
- Perform routine maintenance tasks, including hardware upgrades, firmware updates, and system backups.
- Diagnose and resolve hardware and software issues, utilizing troubleshooting techniques and tools to minimize downtime.
- Document all maintenance activities and updates in accordance with company processes and procedures.
- Assist in the development and implementation of data center policies, procedures, and best practices.
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 2+ years of experience as a Data Center Technician or similar role, with a solid understanding of data center operations.
- Proficient in hardware installation and configuration, including servers, storage, and network devices.
- Strong troubleshooting skills for diagnosing hardware and software issues.
- Familiarity with data center monitoring tools and technologies.
Preferred:
- Experience with virtualization technologies such as VMware or Hyper-V.
- Knowledge of data center power and cooling systems.
- Certifications such as CompTIA A+, Network+, or equivalent are a plus.
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficiency in system administration for Linux and Windows operating systems.
- Experience with networking protocols and configurations (TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP).
- Hands-on experience with cabling and rack management in data center environments.

- Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
