Role Overview
We are looking for a skilled Dairy Equipment Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team, ensuring the optimal performance and reliability of our dairy processing equipment. This role is critical in maintaining equipment standards and driving efficiency within our operations.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the daily activities of the maintenance team, ensuring adherence to safety protocols and best practices
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for all dairy processing equipment, minimizing downtime and maximizing productivity
- Conduct regular inspections and audits of equipment to identify and address potential issues proactively
- Oversee the troubleshooting and repair of machinery, ensuring prompt resolution of any technical issues
- Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, equipment performance, and inventory of spare parts
- Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to align maintenance activities with operational requirements
- Train and mentor team members on maintenance procedures and safety standards
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- 5+ years of experience in maintenance roles within the dairy or food processing industry
- Strong knowledge of dairy equipment, including pasteurizers, separators, and filling machines
- Demonstrated leadership experience in supervising maintenance teams
- Proficient in using maintenance management software and tools
Preferred:
- Technical certification in a relevant field (e.g., mechanical, electrical, or industrial maintenance)
- Experience with continuous improvement methodologies, such as Lean or Six Sigma
- Familiarity with regulatory compliance standards in the dairy industry
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Deep understanding of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems in dairy processing equipment
- Ability to interpret technical manuals and schematics
- Experience with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems)
