Role Overview
As a Couples Therapist, you will play a crucial role in guiding couples through their challenges, fostering communication, and facilitating conflict resolution. Your expertise will help partners navigate their relationships with empathy and understanding, ultimately leading to improved dynamics and emotional well-being.
Responsibilities
- Conduct thorough assessments of couples' relational dynamics and individual perspectives
- Implement evidence-based therapeutic techniques tailored to the unique needs of each couple
- Facilitate open communication between partners, encouraging honesty and vulnerability
- Guide couples in developing effective conflict resolution strategies
- Monitor progress and adapt therapeutic approaches as necessary to meet evolving needs

Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Master’s degree or higher in Psychology, Counseling, Social Work, or a related field
- Active state licensure as a Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT) or equivalent
- 2+ years of experience providing couple therapy in a clinical setting
- Proficient in various therapeutic modalities, including Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT) and Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
Preferred:
- Experience with diverse populations and cultural contexts
- Training in specialized areas such as trauma-informed care or LGBTQ+ issues
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate with other mental health professionals
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Familiarity with digital record-keeping platforms and teletherapy tools
- Knowledge of assessment tools and therapeutic resources
- Ability to leverage technology for remote sessions when necessary
