Role Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled Construction Project Manager to oversee and lead construction projects from inception through completion. This role is critical for ensuring that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and within budget while maintaining the highest standards of quality and safety.
Responsibilities
- Lead the planning and implementation of construction projects, ensuring alignment with project goals and stakeholder expectations
- Coordinate internal resources and third parties/vendors for the flawless execution of projects
- Develop comprehensive project plans that outline scope, budget, timeline, and resource allocation
- Monitor and report on the progress of construction projects, addressing any issues that arise promptly
- Manage relationships with clients, subcontractors, and suppliers, ensuring effective communication at all levels
- Conduct site visits to assess progress and quality of work while ensuring compliance with safety regulations
- Implement risk management strategies to minimize project risks and optimize performance
- Prepare and submit project documentation, including budgets, progress reports, and change orders
Required and Preferred Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or related field
- 5+ years of experience in construction project management, with a proven track record of successfully delivering projects
- Strong understanding of construction processes, means, methods, and materials
- Proficiency in project management software and tools
- Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written
Preferred:
- Project Management Professional (PMP) certification or equivalent is a plus
- Experience with budget management and financial reporting
- Familiarity with building codes and safety regulations
Technical Skills and Relevant Technologies
- Proficient in construction management software (e.g., Procore, Microsoft Project)
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints, technical drawings, and specifications
- Knowledge of scheduling techniques and methodologies
